Old Guy Rant
I am aware that traditionally it is appropriate to rant about Mondays. Well I am not traditional and being as today is Tuesday, let’s rant about it.
As one gets older one starts to figure out that all days pretty much suck, after all you are now one day older. Not wanting to pick on a particular day but, Tuesday.. What can you say?
Mondays are bad, no doubt. After the weekend gotta get up go to work. Yea that is bad. When you are semi retired slash disabled well Mondays are not so bad. When the world was alive Mondays were really good. Mondays meant martinis at my favorite drinking establishment. I like martinis so Mondays will be good again. When the world wakes up. Enough about Mondays.
Tuesdays though are just plain bad. Not for any particular reason other than, as a certified old guy I can say this, it sucks. Just another day to remind me that I am old, semi retired slash disabled and can’t work, a nothing.
I do not like being a nothing. I now understand why when as a youngster and the grandparents would visit they always looked tired, worn out and pissed off about something, usually me for doing something stupid. No it was because they knew time was limited and no one cared what they had gone through. I get it now. Try to impart some wisdom on kids today, like the proper…
